Nested Travel ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Nested Travel mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our app. By using Nested Travel, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
When you create an account, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and password. Your password is securely hashed and never stored in plaintext by our systems.
We collect information about trips you create, places you save, search queries (destinations, dates, number of travelers), wellness preferences, and budget selections. This data is used to provide personalized recommendations and itineraries.
We collect analytics data including screen views, search activity, trip creation and management actions, subscription changes, and session information (duration, platform, app version). This data is stored in our own database and is used to improve the app experience.
Subscription payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store your payment card information for subscriptions. For hotel bookings made through the app, payment card details are transmitted directly to our hotel booking partner, Amadeus, for processing. We do not store this payment information on our servers.
We collect your device platform (iOS or Android), app version, and basic session data. If you enable biometric login (Face ID or Touch ID), your login credentials are stored securely on your device using your operating system's encrypted secure storage.
The app uses location services to convert destination names you type into geographic coordinates for searching hotels, restaurants, and activities nearby. We do not track your real-time physical location or collect GPS data in the background.
We use your information to provide and operate the app's core features (trip planning, place search, recommendations), generate personalized wellness recommendations based on your saved places and trip history, create AI-powered travel itineraries using your destination, dates, and preferences, process hotel bookings through our booking partners, send you local notifications (trip reminders, subscription alerts) if you opt in, monitor app performance, diagnose errors, and improve reliability, and manage your account and subscription.

Your account data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase. Trip data and preferences are also cached locally on your device for offline access. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and secure token-based authentication to protect your data.
You have the right to access your personal data by viewing your profile and trip information in the app, update your name and profile information through the Edit Profile screen, delete your account and associated data through the Delete Account screen or by contacting us at privacy@nestedtravel.com, and opt out of push notifications through your device's notification settings.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Locally cached data on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the app.
Nested Travel is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy in the app with a new "Last Updated" date.
